Pei Ju is a registered dietitian from Taiwan with a background in nutrition and neuroscience. She completed her PhD at Taipei Medical University and spent the final year of my doctoral training as a research student at the University of Oxford. Her doctoral research focused on the role of short-chain fatty acids in ageing and Alzheimer’s disease, particularly their effects on brain health and neuroinflammation. Pei Ju joined the group as a postdoctoral fellow in October 2026, and she is excited to continue her research in the gut-brain-immune axis. Outside the lab, she enjoys travelling, reading, and exploring delicious food. She is always happy to hear recommendations, especially for good places to eat!
